About the Department
The Department of Basic Sciences and Quantitative Studies provides the fundamental scientific and analytical foundation essential for education in science, engineering, and technology. The department supports multiple undergraduate programmes across the campus through teaching in core disciplines such as Mathematics, Probability and Statistics, Physics, Biology, and Chemistry. In addition to its service teaching role, the department is expanding its academic scope through the introduction of specialised degree programmes in quantitative and applied fields.
